Experience
I took a windy road to midwifery; I was convinced I wanted to work in the arts but instead made a career out of forestry and then decided that in fact, I loved the art and science of supporting women in childbirth. :) Since graduating in 2020 (hello pandemic), I have had the pleasure of working in big cities and small, in rural and metro hospitals and within mainstream and group practice midwifery models. Midwifery and supporting women and families in childbirth, it seems, is in my blood. My mother built and ran a community midwifery practice, my uncle is an obstetrician and my aunt is a nurse/midwife. The legacy is strong!
Midwifery Interest
I am passionate about empowering all women to have the best birth possible and to make informed decisions about what is best for them or their baby. I am particularly interested in education and postnatal care and am pursuing further professional development in these fields. As a midwife and new mother, I have witnessed firsthand the importance of providing quality education and support to expectant and new parents.
Personal Interest
I am a hiker, a biker, a swimmer and a beach lover. I like quiet time and noisy play. We are an active family that loves to listen to music, watch great shows and enjoy yummy food.
