Experience

I began my career in Darwin, where I worked between low-risk and high-risk midwifery settings across both private and public hospitals. After completing my child and family health nursing certificate, I took on this role before returning to Brisbane to continue working as a child health nurse with First Nations families. Eventually, I transitioned back into midwifery, working in all areas of care. The diversity of my career has given me a range of experience, skills and knowledge, including antenatal care, labour and birthing, postpartum support, and child health.

Midwifery Interest

Throughout my midwifery journey, I have found the greatest satisfaction in supporting and empowering women and families through a continuity of care approach. Building respectful relationships and helping women trust in their innate abilities are fundamental principles in my practice. I am passionate about creating a calm and safe space for people as they journey into parenthood, whether it’s their first child or their tenth. It’s truly rewarding to work alongside families during such a significant and beautiful phase of life. I continue to be amazed by the strength and resilience of women every single day!
