Experience
I am originally from Albury-Wodonga and worked for Albury-Wodonga Health for 6 years before starting with My Midwives. After completing my Registered Nurse training and working through a number of different acute care areas I commenced my Midwifery training. I had worked with Albury-Wodonga Health's Midwifery group practice for 3 years, as well as working in the special care nursery, antenatal clinic, antenatal/postnatal ward providing antenatal classes and primarily working in the birthing suite. I have worked with My Midwives since 2020. I spent just over a month in Kenya in August 2022 working in a hospital and helping to educate the staff.
Midwifery Interest
I am from a family of Midwives including my Mum and many other influential women in my life which has sparked my passion for Midwifery-led care. I feel honoured to be a part of the My Midwives team. I take a holistic approach with women and their families, supporting them to have a positive birth experience. Education is a huge passion of mine as I think it goes hand in hand with empowering and supporting women and their families to make the best choices for them and their babies.
Personal Interest
I moved from Albury-Wodonga as my family are all on the Sunshine Coast. I love spending time with my family and spoiling my niece and nephews. I have 1 dog - Nessie who is 52kg and 5 chickens who run laps around Nessie. I have a love for essential oils. I enjoy exercising but also love my down time and have a strong vipassana meditation practice. I enjoy travelling the world and experiencing lots of beautiful cultures.
