Experience
I have been very fortunate to have worked with My Midwives since 2020, in both Brisbane and Toowoomba, and I absolutely love working in this model of care! I continue to learn so much from the women I care for and am constantly in awe of them. I have previously worked at North West Private Hospital in Brisbane but have always wanted to work in continuity of midwifery care. Birth has always fascinated me, however, the birth of my third baby at home really lit the fire inside me to become a midwife and use evidence to support women to make decisions throughout their antenatal, birthing, and postnatal experience.
Midwifery Interest
The incredible support of my midwife during my pregnancy and home birth really brought home to me that women should have the choice of where and how they wish to give birth. I believe a continuity of midwifery care relationship, based on mutual trust and respect, provides a woman with the ability to draw on her inner strength and trust in her ability to birth her baby. I love caring for women and their families during this very special time in their lives.
Personal Interest
I love spending time with my husband and family. I also enjoy going camping, travelling overseas and like to spend time pottering around in the garden.
